It only takes one person to save a life or make a difference

Name:    Princess
Gender:    Female
Breed:    Shar Pei - lab mix
Color:    Tan
Age:    6 years
Weight:    Medium-large

Princess has been waiting and waiting for the right forever home and this is a girl who has been very patient. This golden haired lab sharpei cross is healthy despite having challenges with diabetes, which is under control. She needs to watch what she eats. She also has slight vision problems but still manages to get around just fine, with gentle guidance. Princess has lived with another dog, her brother, her whole life, so she might do well in a multiple dog household or as an only. If someone were interested in adopting Princess and Justice together, we think that would be just fine. But it is not mandatory. Princess is the type of dog that would do well with a couple of walks a day and tons of hanging out with her new adopter.

Name:    Justice
Gender:    Male
Breed:    Shar pei lab mix
Color:    Tawny
Age:    6 years
Weight:    Large

Justice came to the Healdsburg Animal Shelter with his sister Princess more than a year ago. Why this sweet boy has not found a home is a mystery to us. We do know that Justice did not have the best of an early puppyhood, but despite that he remains pretty upbeat. Justice is not the bravest boy in the neighborhood, which his potential adopter would want to respect. What that means is Justice would need an owner who will take the time to train him, take him for nice walks and let him know he does not have to be in charge. He can just be a big dog lug and hang out. Justice appears to be a mix between a lab and a sharpei. That is where he gets his pretty golden coat and smushed face that is so cute, oops, handsome. Take Justice home and be amazed at how happy you will be with this fellow who has earned the right to just be a dog.
